What to Expect
AGE
The application age range for Challenge is 18 to 35. Only applicants who are at least 18 years of age on the first day of the Weekend will be considered.
COMMITMENT
The Challenge Weekend begins on Friday evening @ 7:00pm and ends around 5pm on Sunday afternoon. Only applicants who are able to stay the entire Weekend will be accepted.
COST
The cost of the weekend is $75. This includes :
- accommodation for 3 days and 2 nights.
- meals for all three days (5 meals and multiple snacks during the weekend).
- unlimited coffee and tea.
- workshop materials.
- priceless amounts of fellowship!
For those in real financial need, assistance can be arranged. No one should be denied the experience of a Challenge Weekend for financial reasons. Please contact the Registration Coordinator.
Payment can be by cash or e-transfer. e-transfers can be made to: secretary.treasurer@montrealchallenge.ca.
THINGS TO BRING
Sleeping bag, pillow, floor mat or air mattress to sleep on, towel, shower stuff, musical instrument (optional).
IMPORTANT
Please leave your valuables at home. Challenge is not responsible for any lost items.
LOCATION
To be confirmed once you are registered. It will be in the Montreal area.
ARRIVAL
Participants should make an effort to arrive between 7:00 pm and 7:15 pm for registration.
LATE ARRIVAL
It is to your disadvantage to arrive late, so please try your best to be on time. However, if you are going to be late, give us a call.
PHOTOS
Pictures may be taken during the weekend and may be used as promotional material for Challenge. Please inform the photographer if you would not like your picture to be used.

The Challenge Weekend is a three-day live-in retreat for young adults (ages 18–35) in the Montreal area. It is a core part of the Montreal Catholic Challenge Movement and the way to officially become a “Challenger.”
The weekend is entirely organized and led by young adults and includes witness talks, small group discussions, prayer, music, personal reflection, games, and social time — all designed to help you deepen your relationship with God, yourself, and others.

The retreat is open to young adults ages 18 to 35.
You must be at least 18 years old on May 15, 2026 to attend.While Challenge is a Catholic movement endorsed by the Archdiocese of Montreal and faithful to Roman Catholic Church teachings, you do not need to be Catholic to participate. Anyone open to exploring faith and growing spiritually is welcome.

Throughout the weekend, you will hear personal witness talks from peers who share their life and faith experiences — including struggles, doubts, and how they live their faith in today’s society.
Topics become progressively deeper as the weekend unfolds. There are also small group discussions, prayer experiences, music, quiet reflection time, and fun social activities. It’s a balance of meaningful spiritual growth and authentic community.
