Cabane à sucre
This weekend’s Ultreya will take place on Sunday April 12th. In the spirit of Springtime, we will be having a Cabana à Sucre Ultreya! Join us for Mass at 12 pm at St Laurent Parish, followed by food in the big hall! Challenge will cover the cost of this event but we ask for two things.
1) Please fill out the Google form below to give us an idea of how many will attend, so we can make the right amount of food!
2) Any donation amount is fine, but we suggest at least 20$ per person. (Going to a real Cabane à Sucre these days costs about 50$).

Thanks so much and see you soon!

Good Friday 2026: Way of the Cross Procession Led by Archbishop Christian Lépine Through the Streets of Old Montreal
Challenge won’t be hosting an Ultreya. However, here’s a recommendation for Good Friday:
On Good Friday, April 3, 2026, Communion and Liberation (CL Canada) will host a public Way of the Cross procession through the streets of Old and Downtown Montreal, led by Archbishop Christian Lépine. Rooted in a centuries-old Christian tradition commemorating the Passion of Christ, the Via Crucis invites participants to walk prayerfully together through the city in reflection and silence.
Beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the historic Chapel of Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours, several hundred participants are expected to follow a solemn route through some of Montreal’s most significant landmarks - Notre-Dame Basilica, Saint Patrick’s Basilica, passing through Place Ville Marie, and concluding at approximately noontime at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral. Open to all, this public Good Friday commemoration invites believers and non-believers alike to pause and reflect on the meaning of Christ’s Passion.
At each of the churches along the route, there will be prayers and Scripture readings along with traditional Lenten hymns sung by the CL choir. Between stations, participants will proceed in reverent silence. For centuries, Christians have lived the Way of the Cross as a private and public gesture, walking together through towns and cities in remembrance of Christ’s journey to Calvary. Like the scene portrayed in Duccio’s Way to Calvary, the Good Friday procession through Old Montreal continues this ancient tradition, bringing it into the heart of the city today.

Palm Saturday Walk
Lots of volunteers are needed for this event. Please contact Marioz asap.
About:
Mission Jeunesse invites teens, young adults, and all those who wish to join this pilgrimage to experience a unique moment of faith and communion.
The walk begins at St. Joseph’s Oratory, where we gather as youth in prayer, music, and reflection. From there, we walk through the heart of Montreal (5km), palms in hand, as a testimony of faith, joy, and hope. Just like the crowd that welcomed Jesus in Jerusalem, this procession is a visible sign of Christ’s presence in the city and the world.
The arrival at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral marks the beginning of the Palm Sunday Mass, entirely animated by youth, for youth. From the music to the readings, prayers, and Gospel, every part of the liturgy is carried by the commitment and fervour of young people.
This pilgrimage is an invitation to fully enter into Holy Week, to follow Christ on his journey to the Cross, and to move forward with confidence towards the light of the Resurrection.

Men’s conference
In partnership with the Archdiocese of Montreal
Challenged by the crisis of loneliness plaguing men, Heroic Men Canada, powered by God Squad Canada, wants to encourage men across Canada in building brotherhood.
Imagine if every priest was supported by one or two heroic men. If every Bishop had the support of 30 such men. We could build a brotherhood that could change the face of our families, churches, and culture where no man was alone.
About
God Squad Canada is a charitable society that was started by four police officers in the Diocese of Calgary, who through their work on the streets saw the effects of the lack of loving fathers in the family. They began with an annual men’s conference to invite men to follow in the footsteps of St. Joseph. Soon men from every walk of life were joining in the mission.
God Squad Canada is the engine behind Heroic Men Canada and the ministry to men that Heroic Men Canada is. Heroic Men Canada wants to strengthen the man; strengthen the family; strengthen the Church.
The Squad in God Squad Canada, is a small organized tactical unit in the service of God that is sent in the spiritual battlefield to minister to men, inspiring them to embrace God’s vocation in their lives. These men are Heroic Men. It was out of this heroism that the ministry to men was forged: Heroic Men Canada.
